Rudolf Muenster
Rudy a native of Berlin – Germany, received his basic hotel training 1952-1961) in Europe (Germany, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, USA, Venezuela, El Salvador).
In 1958 he became an undergraduate student at UCLA for three terms but decided to transfer to Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, Ithaca, N.Y. to earn a Bachelor of Science with distinction degree. He served his alumni organization, Cornell Hotel Society, as President 1996/97, and in Europe as President of the European Chapter starting and for 25 years guiding the European summer school scholarship program.
Rudy was recently reelected to the Council of Cornell University for his 3rd term of four years each. After graduation in 1962 held management positions with Intercontinental Hotels in Jakarta, Frankfurt and Hannover.
From 1968-1980, he managed the Bristol Hotel Kempinski in Berlin and was simultaneously Executive Board member of Kempinski Corporation – Marketing. In 1980, Muenster founded RWM Hotel Consult GmbH, with offices in Berlin and Berchtesgaden. During the past 25 years, Rudy completed hotel and tourism consulting assignments in 54 countries around the world and is still active mainly in Europe, Africa and the US.
