Fred Honda
Fred Honda is a native of Hawaii and graduated from the Honolulu Business college. His 40 years of Hotel and Club management experience include fourteen years in San Francisco and managing several hotels in Hawaii such as Sheraton-Maui Hotel, Hanalei Plantation, Keauhou Beach Hotel, Hotel King Kamehameha, Oahu Country Club, Kapalua Bay Hotel and Halekulani.
During his time as General Manager at Halekulani, the hotel was recognized with numerous awards and accolades with top ratings locally, nationally, and internationally. During his time in San Francisco, Fred served eight years on the Executive Board of the San Francisco Convention Bureau as Chair of Membership, Association and Groups division and to Chairman-Elect of the Bureau.
He also served on a mission with the Mayor of San Francisco and traveled to Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. Fred is a member of Les Amis d’ Escoffier Society of Hawaii, the Rotary Club, SKAL Club, and Bailli Provincial, Hawaii/Pacific Islands of the Chaine des Rotisseurs.
